Smallrig is now accepting preorders on a couple of accessories that it has launched for the Canon PowerShot V10.
Smallrig V10 Cage Kit
SmallRig Cage Kit for Canon PowerShot V10 4235 is designed to protect the camera and attach accessories. It contains two furry windshields, one camera cage, one lens cap and one storage bag. Among them, the windshields magnetically mount onto the top of mounting plates and are made of carefully selected high-quality materials to reduce wind noise by about 20dB for improved recording; the slide-in cage, locked by one click, features built-in silicone cushions for a secure fit; the silicone lens cap protects the lens from scratches; the wear and dirt-resistant polyester storage bag stores the camera and the cage kit altogether; and the cage not only gives full access to controls, interfaces and built-in camera stand but comes with 1/4″-20 threaded holes to attach accessories like a tabletop tripod or the cold shoe adapters (included in the box) for use in live broadcast and vlogging.

Canon have only just announced the camera, yet SmallRig have already got a cage and accessories in production for it.
Some pre-production collaboration between Canon and SmallRig?
Just how long have SmallRig known about the V10?
Another recent example, DxO PhotoLab supported the R8 before it was in my hands (and I got one from the first allocation to B&H), so clearly they had the RAW files in advance. Not sure how long that's been the case, but for previous camera purchases I had to use DPP for a couple of months until DxO started supporting the camera and lens combos.
