Title: 5D mk iii ISO affecting card capacity
Post by: bard108 on November 29, 2012, 08:33:05 AM
I don't think this is a stupid question but....

Should changing the ISO change the number of shots I can take per card? Just been playing with my 5D mkiii and noticed the higher the ISO the lower the reported number of images I can take (according to top LCD)

Is this right??

File size (at least when shooting raw) is affected by ISO setting (higher ISO means larger files). There is a table on this page showing various camera models, ISO settings, and resulting file sizes: http://the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-DSLR-Camera-Review.aspx (http://the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EOS-5D-Mark-III-DSLR-Camera-Review.aspx) (Search for "Canon RAW file sizes increase")
