EOS Bodies / Re: Bingo! New Canon 5Ds has 50.6 MP new rumored specs
« on: January 31, 2015, 09:10:11 AM »
This camera is obviously for landscape and studio work. Remember that canon isn't a body...its a system.  With the latest L lenses being sharper than nikon, and 50 mp... We should see some amazing results. If the rumors are true about lack of video features..that further confirms this is a landscape and studio machine. No one uses even 1600 ISO in studio or landscapes. Why all the fuss. Wait for the 5d4 to complain about iso when those specs arrive.
+1!
I'm very interested, very interested!

Hi martti,
I just received my 24-70 II about a week ago. I absolutely love it. I am up enthusiastic amateur and pondered for several several months about getting this lens as it is expensive.  I sold several items in my bag to offset the cost of the lens but I couldn't be happier. The IQ is amazing and the AF is fast! Now, it's a new toy for me, but It has not left my camera body and I see it staying there for quite some time. One downside to this lens is the filter size. But that's just how things go sometimes. Again, I couldn't be happier with the lens!

EOS Bodies / Re: Poll: Most wanted new features for 5D Mark IV

I'll be honest I really don't care for video features if I want to do video I'd buy a dedicated video camera. for stills I would prefer 1/250 flash sync (or even faster). A few more MP to get better resolution and better noise handling.
+1000!

There's one clear cut want for me: dynamic range at least equal to what the Sony sensors deliver.

I would also like the best ever noise performance seen at ISO 100.

That's it. I'd be happy with that.

I would also like to see >40 MP

crap!...I always miss this.  Have been waiting to pick up a 24-70 II and I'm always minutes too late!

There are smart phone apps that notify you when a product is in stock, and, if you have your Canon account all setup and ready, you have a pretty good chance.  But, those 24-70's that were restocked today sold out in minutes.
Cool!, any you recommend for iPhone? that would be great!

How have QVC missed this rare talent?

Gosh!, I just about spilled my morning coffee on that one!, hilarious!

I tell you, the more and more I use this lens, the more I'm tempted to go back to a FF Zoom Trinity as my main setup (with macro as the exception)

Very Happy!

Yep!, I'm considering that also!

Trouble is, I'd have to sell 2 lenses (Sigma 35, 24-105)to buy one (24-70 2.8 Mk2)

I know!, I'm selling my 24-104 and a few primes to offset the cost of a 24-70 2.8 II. The 16-35 & 24-70 are awesome !
