It'll start out at $800 but will drop over time, as other Canon cameras do.
Also I don't get all the hate for the sensor, having just got a 650D (stop gap before going FF) it holds up quite well with my 50D sensor, and that's using L lenses.

If Canon listened to people on the internet, they'd never release a camera as they'd never be able to meet peoples unrealistic expectations. I probably won't be buying this camera myself, but I can see it's appeal and the reasons for Canon producing it.

I think people need to calm down and wait to see how the 6D performs in terms of the IQ, AF system performance and ISO performance.
If they are good I will be going for the 6D. If not then I'll just have to be patient and save up for the 5D MKIII.
Canon were never going to trickle down the killer features of the 5D MKIII to the 6D (aside from the Digic 5+ processor). As that would cripple sales.

a long exposure at night.

Don't you like a REBEL FULL FRAME?

A Rebel Full Frame is the way for Canon to go at some point, but that all depends on when the cost of producing FF sensors comes down vs the EF-S lens market the rebels have. I can't see Canon selling an FF body at a loss in the hope of recouping the money by way of lens purchases and other accessories. Nikon can only really offer the D600 at that price because it's getting the sensors via Sony and scrimping everywhere else. Canon is in the same boat in a way, it has the sensors and the technology to produce a budget FF camera whenever they like. I tend to think they have been waiting for Nikon to pull the trigger on the D600 before they respond. Canon loves to steal Nikon's thunder quite often or at least the PR peeps do.

As for me ? I'll be sticking with Canon. While they do need to update the sensor technology (who really knows what's going in Canon's R&D departments), it's not that bad really. My 50D coupled with my L lenses produces some very good images. I do have an upgrade itch, but I'm waiting to see how Canon responds to Nikon before I take the plunge.

If there is a budget FF camera from Canon, It won't surprise me if it's got a similar body construction to that of the 60D. If the plastic's good enough for glocks...

Had a go at some long exposure Photography last night at an annual fair (St Giles Fair, it's been around since the 1600's). I don't think I've done too badly, given this is my first time at trying this technique. Learning by the seat of my pants again. I used a range of f numbers and shutter speeds (anywhere from 2.5 seconds to 30 seconds).

Really awesome, how did you process this?

It was a 5 minute Lightroom processing job, I pretty much nailed it in camera, after fiddling with the CPL to get the dreamy look I was after. If I remember correctly cropping the image took the most amount of time in Lightroom. I tend to process things instinctively.

Since using a CPL, the softness of the lens seems to have reduced somewhat. Either that or I'm getting the hang of using the lens. It's got a sweet spot like most lenses.

Thanks. The shot came together very quickly, about 5 or 6 seconds later the teenagers hands were all over the place again. Pretty happy I got that shot.
