EOS Bodies - For Video / Shooting in B/W

Hey everybody,

My question is this:

I want to shoot a small clip in B/W and I want to know if it's worth shooting B/W directly from the camera.

If I shoot B/W does it come with more quality? I own a 7D

Hey,

Once again I need some feedback from you fellas.

So, I have a 7D and recently I bought a Samyang 35 1.4 and since I find my tripod very weak I don't trust my gear on it .   

- Mostly for Video
- Less than 300 $
- Smooth

Lenses / Samyang 35 1.4 adds grain?

Hey,

I recently acquired the Samyang 35 1.4 and yesterday while I was testing it I found something strange. So, when I use f22 and I look thru the viewfinder I realized it has alot of grain. Is this normal? I have a Canon 50 1.8 and I never noticed something like that. I used a 7D.


Is it a bad copy?

Good afternoon,

I own a 7D and I mostly shoot videos, therefore I'm looking to buy a viewfinder but as always I have no clue which one is the best. I've done some research and I've found this:

Lenses / Sigma 17-70

Hey, Im interested in buying this lense but there's something that Im not understanding. Is it 2.8-4 or 2.8-4.5? I've seen both.

Also, is the Tamron 17-50 2.8 a better option?

EOS Bodies / 7D + 50mm 1.8

Hey,

I just bought a 7D + 50mm 1.8 and I immediately started shooting with it but I've encountered a problem. So, I've read that if I want to create the cinematic effect I always have to set the shutter speed the double of the frames I'm using (eg if I use 30 frames I should set shutter speed at 1/60). That's what I did. Since I want to create that beautiful bokeh effect I have the aperture at 1.8 but the thing is, there's just too much light and the image is all white. I'm doing anything wrong or is it like that?

Help me out please!

Canon General / 7d or Mark II for filming?

Hey,

Im about to upgrade my camera but I'm not quiet sure which one is the right one for me. Here is the deal, as I study tv and cinema I need a camera for filming but I also enjoy taking pictures(that's why I won't buy a handy cam or something). So my problem comes when I don't know which one to choose. I heard the Mark II better but is the 600€ worth the difference? Anyone has both or used both? Please help me out Thank you in advance
