Software & Accessories / Apply Loctite to RRS foot replacement?
« on: July 20, 2014, 04:30:26 PM »
Hi guys,
I recently picked up RRS foot replacement for my 400mm. RRS recommends Loctite 242 to secure it. Do you use any Loctite on your foot replacement?

Software & Accessories / DxO Optics Pro 9, Elite Edition
« on: June 29, 2014, 02:04:38 AM »
Most of my photos are indoor & low light. I'm thinking about DxO Optics Pro 9, Elite Edition as PP software(never use DxO before). I'm a LR user.

For those using DXO, can you guys share your thoughts on this Vs LR5?

Thanks in advance,
Dylan

Hi guys,
Would this be enough power to drive two Canon 600EX-RT?

FAST recycle time really got my attention, plus compact, Up to 1400 Full-Power Flashes(I'm good with 1000ish if recycle time still within 1sec at lower power level)

Canon General / When do you know you have enough camera gear?
« on: April 26, 2014, 05:52:41 PM »
I thought I have enough cameras and lenses to shoot most situation. Last week, I even talked myself out of buying the Canon 600mm f4 IS II. It should be a happy moment for not spending $10K on a single lens that doesn't get use often right?

Well....it's not that easy. I saw this photo, posted by Neuro: http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=9791.120

I'm now heading to flash photography. I'm not sure what will come after flash?

Wish me luck guys ;)

Hi guys,
Have you ever try this B&W filter before? To have option from 1-5 exposure reduction is quite unique. I'm worry it might affect the IQ. I always have positive experience with BW, but haven't try this yet.

Software & Accessories / Gimbal Head: Wimberley Vs Jobu
« on: April 21, 2014, 03:45:09 PM »
Hi guys
I would like to have your feedbacks on gimbal tripod head.

To support BIG WHITE, which Gimbal head you guys use? Any third party(low cost) out there?

At this time, I'm leaning to Wimberley + Wimberley - P10 Quick Release Plate: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/404536-REG/Wimberley_WH_200_Gimbal_Type_Tripod_Head.html

Here is one review with Fuji camera: http://www.aps-photo.com/2014/04/rokinon-12mm-f2-0-for-x-mount-a-first-look/

19mm equivalent to FF, which I think is very nice focal lenght for landscape.

FF + same body style like: X100s, XT-1, or X-e2 = count me in. I LOVE the look, feel and all layouts from x100s. FF + UWA + 35 or 50mm...I'm good to go ::)
