enough said  ;)

seriously i would ask the same question for wildlife photography between a used 1D mark IV and a 5 D mark III... Here in France we can find a 1D mark IV in good condition for 2000 € ; the 5D III is still around 2800 €

a 350mm f/4 L IS with built in 1.4 x extender . Which give to us an approximatively 500 f/5.6 L IS with the extender on...

under 3500 $ of course ;)

and a very good 7D mark II before the end of the year 8)

the biggest interrogations seem to be on the AF sytem and the sensor, new ones or not ::)

With these specs i guess we can expect an under 2000 $/€ body...

With the incredible wildlife there, tons of birds, mammals... For me it's a no brainer the 500mm with your 5dIII will be a terrific combo !

7D Mark II it is likely to be full frame

so it won't be named 7d but may be 4d or another number...

I couldn't resist.  I had to Google "sagittal MRI" and I found this fascinating page using a sagittal MRI of Homer Simpson to explain the subject.  Pretty interesting!!  And if you look at a lot of sagittal MRI images, I think you will agree that Neuro's looks pretty good in comparison.

Hilarious !

My avatar is a self portrait - a sagittal MRI of me

Self portrait, i love it !

The choice of my avatar : because this photo has been taken in one of my favorite places in the world, the peninsula of Osa and its amazing Corcovado national park (Costa Rica)...
