Sigma do listen!

if it perform similar to their 50mm, and 85mm, filter size 77mm or lower, price lower than 85mm, sounds like we have a good alternative for the 35L, Nikkor and Zeiss.

I realize 50mm is the cheapest to make, the 85mm is around 1k. hopefully this could be in the 700 range?

EOS Bodies / Re: 6D or 5D Mk II

i would say it comes down to Handling Vs Image Quality.

the 6D with new metering, newer sensor (which doesn't mean much in Canon book), Digi5+, possible useable higher ISO looks like will delivery better IQ than the "older" 5d2.

Handling and specs, the 5D2 still sounds better, namely VF, 1/8000, CF card.

i think whats missing from all the post above is the video capability of the 6D, looking at the spec, looks like its 5D3 territory?

EOS Bodies / 6D max shutter speed, 1/4000 or 8000 ???
« on: September 17, 2012, 12:53:37 PM »
so all rumor site shown this 6D with 1/8000 shutter speed, but official Canon website says 1/4000

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/professional/products/professional_cameras/digital_slr_cameras/eos_6d#Specifications

this could be a deal breaker for somebody, but the D600 offer the same, i would be surprise with 1/4000.

also this image also shown 1/4000, usually product pic like this shown the maximum capability? like max battery levle, Wifi on, GPS on, highest ISO, etc.

Lighting / Re: First YN-622 Review (video)

thanks for your reply, so what would you recommend for user with old Canon body (without the flash menu)?

my understanding now is that both Pixel King and Yn622 both won't provide me with control, all i can do is TTL and maybe compensation?

if there is no flash control on the body, then i'd assume it either does nothing or most likely just serves as a trigger based off what the actual flash is set to.

I am interested on the YN-622, but i am using a older Canon body 5DC, so without the flash menu/control, all i can hope is this unit to do things in ETTL, and i can't control anything?

does the Pixel King allow me to have more control for 5DC or any older Canon body?

anything the Pixel king is worth looking over this? i am open to either of these affordable ETTL trigger

wouldn't the D600 make the 5D2 price drop?

Lenses / Re: best filter for shooting portraits (babies)
« on: August 17, 2012, 10:18:06 AM »
i didn't use filters at all when shooting babies, but not until they can reach my lens.

77mm is a common size, buy a good one earlier, since filter goes up in price too.....

Lenses / Re: If you can have ONLY 3 lenses, what would they...???

35mm
85mm
135mm or 70-200

71
well, if you compare them like that, at IS100, i think the original 5D1 can do the same.....just with smaller resolution.

to make a camera advance is all about up top. and video stuff in today's market.

EOS Bodies / Re: first pic of canon mirrorless?
« on: July 20, 2012, 11:00:16 AM »
i have a feeling that Canon will also introduce another body with this on monday, just like Nikon did with their 1 series.

the upper right thing, could it be possibly a LED flash?

73
any info on the AF confirmation chip? does it has to be retrofit, as in taking the lens apart?

74
the RX100 video quality is also awesome, check EOSHD review.

EOS Bodies / Re: New Product Announcement Invites for July 23, 2012

Canonwatch report that the mirrorless will use APSC size sensor. my guess would be the T4i sensor with hybrid AF?

but if thats the case, AF would be far from the competition, like the newer Sony and the lightning fast AF from the newer m4/3.

i hope the adapter to be EF-S compatible, since i have to deal with crop factor, and also hope that the thickness of the adapter won't be too much
