My 7D is still chugging along giving me pics I am proud to show to my friends. It probably will for years to come. I am
Suprised to see this post has been left to die. Surly there must be many more 7D owners who are still happy with
Their 7Ds and are keeping them instead of upgrading. The 7Dll is an upgrade that is worth the wait. I have been
Reading Internet pages that mostly praise the 7Dll. I have found a page that mentions focus issues. But I remember
Reading the same thing about the 7D when I was thinking about buying it.

Thanks for the link.

7D in 2012, 100-400 in 2013. I was happy with this combo until I tried to take pics of salmon swimming in a creek in shady lighting.  I've had better results with my 70-200f4 IS USM with a 1.4 Extender. A 2.8 would have been better for me.  I think you will be happy with a 7Dll and a 100-400ll. They might have done better. 7dll should handle higher
ISO better. Keep your 70-200 2.8 until you are absolutley sure you no longer need it. Good Luck!

More gear envy for me!  Do I want to Upgrade? I might after the reviews are out. :)

This might get me to purchase the 7Dll. I hope to trade my 7D in on it. Won't get much, but it will help soften the
Sticker Shock! :) So far people seem positive about the new 7Dll.

I'm waiting for the 7Dll to be released and tested by consumers. I think 5DlV is in the near future. It may be the first
Full frame camera to get dual pixel AF like 70D and 7 Dll.

My 7D is still taking pics that blow me away. I feel I can post my regrets that the 7Dll doesn't have WiFi without someone lumping me in with Trolls. I can't say I won't upgrade, but will wait and see. The7Dll looks to be an amazing camera. I may end up with a bad case of camera envy!

I really think this and a swivel touch screen should be features of the 7Dll. I'm sticking with my 7D till one of us drops.

I use a canvas carrier that came with a portable lawn chair. It's not great but it works. It isn't padded so I am careful
Not to bang my tripod into things.

Kitties love to chase Lasers and String! 7Dll is released, YEAH!!!  I look forward to the reviews. I won't buy unless my 7D gets damaged. I guess if I wan't WiFi and swivel LCD I'll have to borrow my wife's 70D. I've been reading about the 7Dll since I got up. ( not counting the posts in the months before it's release) Now I can do something productive like go take pics of my cat.  ;D

No built in WiFi! Seems to be a big omission of me. The 7Dll should be as astounding a camera upgrade was the 7D was in 2009. Why put it in 70D and not 7Dll? No articulating screen! I'm glad I'm happy with my 7D. I will save money and keep honing my skills.

I use my pics from my 7D as my screen saver and am sometimes in awe at what I see. The camera takes amazing
Pics as long as there is sufficient light. If the camera won't take a pic because of low light, I use my 580EXll. I look
Forward to the 7Dll as it should better than the 7D. I won't be buying one.

My 7D doesn't have WiFi. If you want to use an iPad to operate a camera that doesn't have WiFi buy a CamRanger or
one of the other devices that creates it's own WiFi Zone. I installed EOS Utility on my iPad Air and if I go into my wife's
70D's Menue and turn on WiFi shooting, then I can operate her 70D with my iPad. I feel Canon should include WiFi in
all of the new cameras. It's not a deal breaker for me. I am not ready to part with my 7D and upgrade yet. Maybe a FF
is my future camera. I look forward to new announcements. I just spent my 7Dll Money on my Car. I need it to go out
and about so I can take pics. ;D

It's getting painful reading everyones post on the  continuous saga of the 7D Mark ll.'s release date. Relief Date for me.
I'm still enjoying my 7D. Did everyone else's suddenly die? Or explode? I'm going out and take some pics later today.
My wife will be using her 70D and me with my discontinued 7D. As long as i'm not discontinued, I'll be fine and so will
the pics from my 7D if I follow the rules of good photo shooting that I have learned since I bought my 40D in March 2008.

All Canon has to do is make this new 100-400 take sharper pics with improved coatings, better IS, faster focussing and zoom. They will sell a ton of these as the old 100-400 sells well as is. My 100-400 suits me just fine and is on my 7D  when I leave the house and I know BIF pics are on the menu.  ;D
