I'm thinking about buying this extender.
have you used it? regarding autofocus, will it be too slow for photojournalism or sports?
is quality really much affected?

thanks for sharing your experiences

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Auto Focus question
« on: March 27, 2012, 05:57:02 PM »
Hey there! I've been taking photos with my 5D Mk II for some time now. fact is, I always use the center focus point. And by always I mean always, I'm used to focusing and recomposing. My question is simple: all of you having cameras with complex autofocus systems (1D, 7D, and now 5D Mk III), how do u use autofocus? Zones? Center point? Etc...

I would like to read what you have to say.
To specify a bit, let's talk about portraits ( I cannot imagine myself using something different than the center focus point), concerts, sports and landscapes.

Thanks in advance & take care :)
Nico :)

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 5D Mk III - No Problems (official thread)
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:50:51 AM »
Since the 5D III was released, all that I'm reading here is about problems. It's pretty normal that that happens, the people who is happy with the camera is not going to post much stuff, they rather be outside taking photos ;) anyways, point is that after reading here all of this complains (I'm ok with them, do not misunderstand me) I'm  kind of getting the impression that the 5D mk III is not so good.

So, my question is:

Is there anyone happy with the camera? Do you find it to be a big step forward from the Mk II?

Cheers!  :)

Have you tried it? And more important, have you tried a ring flash? Any information and opinions are very welcome. Thanks in advance :)
