Only if I can make a Nikon look like a Canon.........

Change silver/red accents to gold. That'll be enough to fool anyone that doesn't spend too much time here or at dpreviews.

EOS Bodies / Re: first pic of canon mirrorless?

I overlayed a 7D and lined up the mounting ring as best I could (first pic), then traced around the sensor on the 7d and overlayed that on the EOS-M (second pic).

Pretty sure that's aps-c we're looking at.
I really like the textured 7D grip  instead of the little strip grip on this thing. That alone would make me more interested in this camera.

EOS Bodies - For Video / Re: So, which memory cards for video?
« on: July 17, 2012, 03:27:57 PM »
I use that CF card and this SD card (http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-SDSDRX3-064G-A21-Extreme-SDXC-UHS-I/dp/B006ZH1WQI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1342553223&sr=1-1&keywords=Sandisk+SDSDRX3-064G-A21+Extreme+SDXC+UHS-I) in my Mk.III and have never had any sort of issue. I've shot maybe 5 minutes of video, so far, but no prematurely ended clips.

PowerShot Cameras / G1x 730 at Amazon
« on: July 11, 2012, 02:57:30 PM »
Amazon currently has the G1x for sale for $730 shipped. I think that's a pretty good price, especially for those of us that have Prime shipping and don't pay tax.

PowerShot / Re: D20 Dead in the water?
« on: June 13, 2012, 04:02:58 PM »
Recently picked up the D20 for a vacation. I was seriously impressed. It's a great simple camera that is perfect for it's intended purpose. Yes a few quirks, but nothing that is a deal breaker for this type of camera.
I saw your photos in another thread, and they are fantastic. Amazon finally shipped my TG-1 today so Friday I should be able to test it out a bit. Your pictures definitely convinced me that if I'm the least bit not pleased with the Olympus, it will go right back in exchange for the Canon.

Pricewatch Deals / Re: D10 Amazon Lightning Box Deal.
« on: May 31, 2012, 09:33:08 AM »
I agree, but the d10 has a much faster lens, and at 150 it's hard for me to more than double that price for a camera that's only a technological upgrade.

Argh! I hesitated and now all amazon has shipping now is 450 http://amzn.to/K4vHjb I keep checking hoping the seller at 350 will pop up again but no luck yet. Does anyone that ordered or picked up locally have any first impressions yet?

Lenses / Re: Wide Angle Lens Recommendations
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:11:40 AM »
I love my 16-35II. I'd say it's on my 5DIII about 75% of the time. In theory I'd rather have the 14 and 35 primes, but in practice that could make travel a bit more difficult as I already have trouble picking 2 lenses to bring when I head out for a few days. The low-light of the primes obviously wins out, but I just used the zoom over the weekend a bit after dusk and the results were just fine by me.
