i have not touched the nikon 1 system yet but i read that speed and AF are very good... right?

how is speed compared to phase AF in DSLR cameras?

how sensor phase AF holds up in low light situations?

what is your guess.. is sensor phase AF ready for DSLR cameras yet or not?

are there any infos how much of the sensor size must be dedicated to the AF pixels?
is it negligible or not?

Street & City / what is it with the brits and DSLR cameras?

don´t know where to post this.. but i think it kind of  fits in here.

i was visiting the UK last week. never felt more unwelcome as photographer anywhere.
(ok except... east germany in 1987). :(

so what is it that the british gov hates us DSLR shooters so much?

no shoothing here with a DSLR, no shooting there with a DSLR.
carry a tripod and you have a great chance to be deported to camp x-ray by the spooks.

are the british politicans are really that stupid that they believe terrorist can only make photos with a DSLR?

i was asked a few times not to take photos with my DSLR while people with mFT and even bridge cameras are allowed to take pictures.

can someone explain that nonsense?

Lenses / Is the cost for canons teleconverters too high?
« on: November 29, 2011, 04:58:34 PM »
compared to canon lenses i wonder why a teleconverter from canon cost 400-500 euros.

i mean a teleconverter is much simpler and cheaper to build ... isn´t it?
less glass, less electronic, no AF motor etc.
