Hello all,

I'm trying to find anyone who knows anything about producing several indoor and outdoor panoramas for a Dude Ranch here in Tulsa. I know how to create them in photoshop CS5, however, I have no clue when it comes to how to create a flash, java, silverlight, etc file to store them in so they can put the file on their website. The idea is that they can have a 360 degree view of Cabin 1, 2, etc.

Does anyone know of a method of doing this before I take the gig? I'll likely just use the 17-40 (or 16-35 ii if I upgrade by then) on a 5Dii, though I'll be renting the 8-15 fisheye for a fun wedding in early June and can toy with that if it is recommended.

Thank you, thank you, thank you,

EOS Bodies - For Stills / My 5Dii No Longer Downloads (Resolved)
« on: March 30, 2013, 10:55:23 PM »
Hey y'all,

The title says most of it. My 5Dii went from downloading just fine, everyday, no problem, to suddenly not downloading.

When I plug it into the computer, it connects and gives me the option to download the files via Bridge. After I click "Get Photos", the red indicator light on the back of the cam lights up all dazzly, like it's supposed to, but then it goes into "blinky mode" and Bridge continues to tell me, "Connecting to device... Please wait.".

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,
-Tabor

Additional info if needed,
-CF: Kingston 32 Ultimate 266X
-PS: CS5

No other changes have occurred apart from recently purchasing a new CF which I plugged in for one session, but haven't used since. Would that have anything to do with it, should I re-format my older one again after I get these pics off?

Hey everyone,

I find a lot of inspiration and feel like I better my photography skills by absorbing the wonderful works around me, and I thought it would be cool if we loaded in our social media/site info. I'll start.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 5Dii auto iso stuck on 400.
« on: November 18, 2012, 11:41:10 AM »
Well, I think the title says it all. The auto iso on my 5Dii is stuck on 400, however, this is only on manual mode and thus my custom settings as well.

Has anyone had this experience or know of a fix, or should I send it in to Canon?

Thank you all greatly,

EOS Bodies - For Stills / DUST!!!!!!! WHAT TO DO!?!?!? (resolved)
« on: November 14, 2012, 10:44:24 PM »
I am doing my best to keep my cool. I have dust in the viewfinder, at least I think that is where the beast lay. I didn't notice it until I was wiping down my camera with a lens cloth and decided to wipe the dust off of the viewfinder glass. Now everytime I look into the viewfinder I can see two spots, one; a j-looking object next to the center focus point, and two; a spot just a bit lower and to the right. The dust doesn't seem to affect the pictures what-so-ever, but I am super OCD about these things and besides that, the specks are simply annoying. I have three shoots in the next four days so I would LOVE it if you all had some advice.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It is on/in my 5DII with a 17-40L that has a filter, (if that makes any difference). Also, I've been shooting all day and this has not come up until the moment I wiped off the viewfinder...  :'(

Lenses / Any Wedding Lens Advice?
« on: September 09, 2012, 10:35:18 PM »
So, my wife and I have three weddings right at the start of 2013, but here's the kicker; I think we're lacking a little glass.

We have the following
5DII, 60D, 17-40L, 35L, 50 1.4, and a 430ex ii. We also have a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 which I am not the biggest fan of and will be selling soon. We would like to keep our purchase at a max of ~2K and don't mind buying new, refurbed, or used (from a quality seller).

What do you all think? I strongly believe that this forum is an invaluable resource for photographers who are beginning their business and thank you all in advance for your support.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Old News... Great News!
« on: May 12, 2012, 03:09:39 AM »
I know everyone is in a fluff regarding the 5D3, however, I am giddy as a school girl over my wife and my recent coversation.

:) Her: "Honey, why don't you go ahead and get the 5D2?"
:o Me: "Okay!" (my obvious reply)
:) Her: "Are there any lenses I might like?"
:D Me: "Well, there's the 28 f/1.8 you would likely enjoy"
:) Her: "Don't you think we should start buying more L glass?"
;D Me: "YES!" (starts panting but trying not to show too much excitement).

In the end we ended up going through Adorama who threw in a bunch of crazy extras like an extra battery, backpack, some software and a CF card, none of which I was too thrilled about but hey, they're "free".

Anyway we ended up buying the 5D2, random extras and the 35mm f/1.4L. So, though it turned out to be a rather expensive conversation, I believe it will be so worth it in the end. I have no idea how anyone would reply to this message but I was too excited to keep it to myself.

Lenses / How do you think we should spend the money?
« on: February 02, 2012, 12:01:54 AM »
Here's the deal; my wife and I have just begun turning our photography adventures into a business and now it's time to seriously invest, however, we only have the following equipment:

Canon EF 17-40 f/4
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4
Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6
Canon T1i
Canon 430EX ii

Our budget is $4,000 and we're willing to sell/swap any of the equipment as necessary. We shoot a lot of portait work such as maternity, babies, family etc. and are just now going into weddings as requested for some of our engagement bookings. That being said, what do you think? Also we plan on purchasing an additional camera here in the next few months and plan on including the cost of the new camera into the $4K. Any thoughts?
