Hello! I've been struggling with this issue recently. I'm not sure what exactly I could have done that would cause something like this.

Problem is as follows:

If say I open up the color picking screen for a brush and put 0/0/255 as RGB values, then it shows as purple in the toolbar, even though it paints with proper blue.

This is really confusing at times. If you could help me out, I'd be very thankful

Lenses / Budget wide-angle for FF

Hello!

As of this moment my only lens is 85 f/1.8 and I am in dire need of something wider for landscape, architecture and some street photography.

Next year I am going to get myself some quality L lenses, but in the meantime I still would like to shoot stuff

I need the lens to be under $300, and within the 16-40mm range. I'm fine with both prime or zoom.
Need it sharp at F4-F6.3.

I'm leaning towards purchasing the recent 40mm pancake, though realising that it is not quite wide enough.

Which other lenses should I take note of? What good stuff is available at this price in the 16-24-28mm range?

Would I be correct to assume that my best bet is a used 24 f/2.8?

Lenses / 5D Mark III / EF 85 1.8 - General Portraiture AFMA

Unfortunately I do not have the option to perform a full calibration at the moment, so I am going to have to settle with AFMA for at least one more month.

I understand that in most cases settings are different for different units, but I am just curious as to what AFMA settings people use for head / torso / full body shots.

I myself find that mine produces slightly sharper images at +5, when shooting from a ~1m. distance.

Hello! I am from a country with a colder climate, so this is pretty important for me during winter.

What kind of temperatures is it safe to expose Rebel and 5D bodies respectively? How does performance scale down depending on how cold it is (aside from an obvious fact that the battery charge is going to run out faster)? Any info about this?

Lenses / Lenses for 650D

Hello. Long time reader, first time posting ^_^

I have finally decided to dive into the world of photography and am planning to do that with the release of 650D.

Want to pick it up as a "body-only" and purchase the lenses separately.

The first one, which I am almost 100% positive about is the 50mm f/1.4 USM or 50mm f/1.4 II if it is going to be announced before the shipping date of 650D.

The second one I consider purchasing is Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM.

What I was wondering about is if there are any zooms within this price range that might be a better option than this Sigma?
