Here is what I use for my 50D and 18 - 200 when I need something that is small and doesnt look like  acamera bag.  Has served me will and I think your gear would fit.

I use MPIX.com to do exaclty what you are asking to do.  Uplad the images, share the catalog and the people you share it with can order what they want in the form they want.  The otehr people will need an MPIX acount to see the album you share.

Ifyou want to do the same thing on the cheep and with a lower quality print if they are more what I call snapshots you can do the same thing at Walmart.com, Snapfish as you stated, or Flikr, to name just a few.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Raw, mRaw, sRaw of JPEG

Nothing a little seach feature can't get you

http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=2264.msg48642#msg48642

I did a test a while ago on my 7D, RAW vs sRAW.
I don't have time to find the original thread, gotta go to work, but the conclusion was that RAW delivers better noise and detail compared to sRAW, when scaled to the same size.
sRAW is only for saving card space, nothing else, if you want quality go RAW.

Would be great help if you could post the link to the thread you were talking about. I shoot in sRaw but was contemplating whether shooting in RAW would yield photos with slightly better output.

EOS Bodies / Re: Time from Announcement to Release
« on: August 29, 2012, 10:40:44 AM »
Probably very small chance of having it in hand if announced.

On the other hand, what about just waiting?  If it is not announced and available a couple weeks before your departure can't you just get the 7D then and you will not be kicking yourself for missing what you MAYBE wanted instead.

I am just an amature myself but I still get asked by people that I know what they should get to get started.

My answer is almost always start with something recent but used.  Get a decent body and one good lens.  See where it goes from there.  IF you are not developing an interest you can get out for about what you spent to get in.  If as you devlope you learn a bit about what your interest is and what you want to shoot then you are not sunk in high $$ equipment and can make a change.  The people that ask what do I need often cannot even say what they want to do other than take better pictures than my P&S.  IMO there is nothing wrong with that aproach but there is no reason to go broke finding out if it is really something you want or just thuink you want.

Lenses / Re: How do you pack your lens hoods when traveling?
« on: August 10, 2012, 06:01:09 PM »
Where can I get a 20 - 700 2.8.  :)

I stack all of my hoods together and slide them over the small end of my 20-700 f/2.8.  I sized the divider section for that lens to be big enough to accommodate the hoods, so the hoods fit in snugly and also hold the lens in place.  That lens fits vertically into my bag...I wouldn't use this method if I had the lay the lens down on its side.

I am confused on this.  You prefer the 2.8 to the 1.4 ?

40 vs 50? I'll be keeping both lenses for now. But if one just HAD to go it would likely be the 40... f/1.4 vs f/2.8 is just no contest.
