I just bought a 24-70 L with a 5d mark III. I don't feel like waiting for the other lens especially if it doesn't have IS. I payed 1600 for it new and so far the images look great. I need some human subjects now.

Hell no! I spent 2 weeks looking at all these fake sites in New York. They have  fake scammy reviews  that are 5 stars then a few real 1 star reviews. They all do the same thing. Take your money, call you to try to up-sell you before they ship the item( if they even try to ship it). Then they usually give you a grey market, used, opened, or bootleg item.

I am just wondering how many people out there can afford and are willing to spend 6800 on a camera? I am not asking if they are using it for a certain purpose just how man people actually purchase 1 Series bodies. I considered getting one before but the longer I wait  the more I think that the 5D Mark III might be for me.

So they will make an overpriced V2 and then have plans for a IS version. Why didn't they just make the V2 have IS?

How was the lens soft? Did it not auto-focus correctly or the image was a bit blurry? I have seen quite  a few pics on here from that lens and they looked great.

Surprising how high that lens has always been. Had two copies at two different times. Overrated. Great contrast and delicious colors, but sharpness not near level of say, 70-200/4 IS
Are the newer copies better? I tried to look at a pattern in the reviews depending on the date at BH. It seems like  most new reviews are positive but the older ones are pretty bad. I don't know if that means anything though.

I am looking at the price on and  the price is close to $2000 now. Is there a shortage of these lens or is the demand high even though the MKII is around the corner?

1/25 shooting night also challenging, because it is not a pervert. . . (; ^ _ ^ A . I need a camera that is a pervert for very low light.

I have a Custom Brackets Pro M. It was like $379. i have used it for almost a year straight at clubs. It is still sturdy and works fine. I did have to use super glue to seal my Off flash cord because the weight and pressure on the flash will   rip the shoe apart over time.  My first cord broke in 2 or 3 months and my glued card has been great for over 6 months.

I use them all the time at the clubs I am at. No red eyes and  an even spread of light in portrait and landscape. I use 580exII or 600ex rt. @rayvaldez360
