Got mine Wednesday.  If price drops, I will call B and H for my money back (the difference)

32
Yeah, maybe I will just keep the 24-105 for a walk around and sell the 2 EF-S lenses and the 70-200 to upgrade to the 2.8 mk2 and stay with that set up a while.  If I need anything wider, I could look at the fisheye or just hold out for a new WA.  Thanks for the advice.

OK, ordered my 24-70 mk2.  Now I need to sell my 70-200 f4, my 24-105 f4, my 10-22 and my 17-55 so I can upgrade my 70-200 2.8 mk2 and maybe a 16-35

I just ordered my 24-70 mk2 and now I am probably selling my 10-22, my 17-55 2.8 and my 70-200 F4 so I can get the 70-200 2.8 mk2.  Might even sell the 24-105 f4 for the 16-35

Yeah I use my 85, but my favorite pics from that girls senior pics and the Greek goddess shoot were all from the 100 L Macro.  My street zombie pics were the 24-105 and the 35L with a speed light.  I seriously can't wait to get my 24-70 Mkii and my 70-200.  My buddy has the 70-200 2.8 Mk I.  How much better is the mark II

Yeah, I am scheduled to do two weddings in the spring/summer and my event photography is taking off.  I may as well grab this lens.  My favorite event lens before I went FF was the 17-55 2.8, so naturally, this lens should fit my style like a glove.  I will also upgrade my 70-200 from the f4 non IS to the 2.8 IS mk ii as was suggested in a different thread I started.  I hope I get a good copy from the start, I'd hate to have to return it and keep trying.  I have had good luck with B and H, so I should be OK.

Lenses / How long do you think the 24-70 2.8 Mk 2 will remain over 2300.00?

I know lenses start out high and eventually several hundred dollars drop off until the price stabilizes and pretty much sits.  Anyone have any predictions on when it will start dropping and what the stabilized price will be?  I am grabbing it in a week or so, so this question is more out of curiosity.  I am not expecting it to drop anytime soon and want to get it ASAP.

Well, I am really hoping to get these lenses sold.  Should be very easy to move them as they are all under a year old and I only used the 10-22 2x.  The 70-200 a few times more than the 10-22 and I used the 17-55 2.8, but cleaned it and kept it in perfect condition.  Also have all boxes and papers for them.  The T4i is only 6 mos old.  Ordering my 24-70 2.8 II this week and the 70-200 F 2.8 II after I sell my EF-S lenses.

OK, I think I am selling the 17-55, the 10-22 and the T4i, unless my wife wants to learn on a decent camera body.  She can use my T4i and 35L to learn.  I will get the 24-70 2.8 and also sell my 70-200 for the upgraded version 2.8 mk ii.  That should do it.  Maybe down the line, I will grab a 16-35.  I am def keeping my 100 L macro and will prob grab a 6D as my alt body.  Thanks for all the advice.  Ordering 24-70 this week and after my other stuff sells, I will grab the other stuff i mentioned.

Very helpful posts from all of you.  Thanks

I do ok with my 2 600 ex-rt's.  I still need one more or a controller to have a complete setup.  I hear complaints about canons current controller, so many people say use a 3rd 600 flash to control the others.

I love my 17-55, but don't want to have the second body (t4i) if I don't need it, that's why I was looking at the 24-70 II.  The 24-105 is nice as hell, but sometimes I wish I had the 2.8 over the 4.  Especially when shooting indoor events.  You can check out my work here: www.facebook.com/AFlashInTimePhotographyByDonPedro

Most of the shoots before Oct were with a t2i and t4i.  The newest stuff was with the 5DM3.

I would love a 24-70, but some would argue I don't need it.

Ok, I now own the Canon 5dM3 and the T4i.  I shoot models, families, events and soon I am scheduled to shoot 2 weddings.

I own the 35L, the 85 1.8, the 100 L 2.8 macro, the 24-105 f4, the 70-200 f4 non IS, and the Ef-s 10-22 and 17-55 2.8 IS.

Do I use the combo of bodies or just sell my EF-S glass to get the 24-70 2.8 II and maybe upgrade my 70-200?  Any other lens I should be looking at or am I already Good to go?

Update:  I got the 3750.00 deal for the kit and they tossed in a CF card and I paid for a filter for the 24-105.  So far I am really impressed with my images.  My T4i is great, but I see the difference now.  All I need now is the 24-70 and I'm done. Now I am wondering if that IS 24-70 rumor is legit.  I may hold off for a while.  I do great with the kit lens, the 35L, the 100 L macro, the 85 1.8 and my EF-S lenses on my T4i.  Probably going to get more lighting now.  Thanks for all te advise.  Already made 850.00 using my camera and the deal was decent enough.

I have 2 600 ex rt flashes, but was waiting on a better controller.  Might get a 3rd to control the 2 I have.  I wanted a strobe system, but people argue that my 600's are strong enough and more portable.  I may just wait and see what I can pull off with my current set up.  I may use the 5D3 for the entire ceremony and use a combo for specialty shots (10-22) using the T4i.  I can then go with 5D3 with flash and 24-105 and use 35L and 17-55 2.8 on T4i.  I guess I will see what works.

I will hold off on a lens for now.  Anyone think a new 50 will drop or is this one still way too new?

On FF, I'd say 50, but it all depends. You have all focal lengths covered, but with focal length are you getting your best wedding shots from?  Not reception, but the ceremony money making shots?  If you have a target in which you get the best results, get the prime for it.

OK, I have the 24-105 (haven't used it and may sell it for something else like a 24-70 ii) I also have the 35L, the 85 1.8, the 100 L macro 2.8, the 70-200 F4L.  My EF-S lenses for my T4i are the 17-55 2.8 and the 10-22 Wide.

Thinking of the 50 1.2 or upgrading the 1.8 to the 1.2.  Not sure I can justify the 85 upgrade, as the 1.8 is pretty sweet.  Leaning toward the 50.  I love my T4i and 35L combo, so on my new 5D3, the 50 will be close.

Or, do I stick with what I have since using a combo of my ASP-C and FF with current lenses, covers most focal lengths.

If it helps, I am an event photographer, I shoot models and families too.  Looking to get into weddings and have already been asked to shoot 2 in 2013.
