Attended the graduation Ceremony for our local Home School last night. They had 50 graduates, which is actually up from 30 a couple of years back.
Unlike the huge schools, Graduations are less stuffy and more informal. Students do get a Diploma from the local school, classes are taught by certified teachers in a school run by the district as well as at home by the parents. The level of scholarship is very high with many students receiving scholar ships. A high percentage graduate from community college at the same time.
You can wear a feather in your hair, or even bring your teddy bear. Diplomas are given by the parents, who also give a short speech.
I used my 5D MK III and 70-200mm f/2.8 L MK II almost exclusively. I used my 24-70mmL MK II for the group photo along with a flash. I prefer it without flash, but I wanted to freeze the hats in the air. I don't like the color (mixed light).
Next up is my grandsons graduation at Safeco Field in Seattle. Nothing cozy about it. I'm not even going to try and bring my camera in that Zoo.
