"It's Our Job" was taken one morning when some buddies and I decided to head out to the Hanauma Bay area of Oahu, Hawaii for some sunrise photos. I got up at like 4:30am and met my friend downstairs in our building. We picked up his friend and drove out to the east side (about a 20 min drive). When we got there we immediately started taking some fun shots, though we arrived a little too early. Finally the sun started coming up. I have about 100 photos from that morning, and the funny thing is that the ONLY one I like is this.... not even really a photo of the sunrise itself. This is, though, one of my favorite all-time photos. I do not know the man in this photo. He had the same idea too, to arrive early and take sunrise photos. This is almost right out of the camera, though I increased the "blacks" a little to make the silhouette more solid.
