If they put 4K video on it, NAB would be a great place to announce it.
True, but I don't see that happening. For one, there would have been a lot more rumor leaks that it would have 4k, especially since there have been so many other cameras adding 4k.

A firmware update for the 1D-C, and new EOS cine body that actually does 4k that does cheaper than the C500 would be what to expect from Canon

You know what will be a head turner?
Instead of a 7DC, they release a 5DC... 24MP Dual Pixel & 4K. Game over.
Canon 7D - EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L, EF - 20mm f/2.8, EF 50mm f/1.4, EF 100mm f/2.0, Custom Cine 50mm & Custom Cine 35mm

Even better: double the 4k resolution to get 4:4:4 output from a bayer sensor or at least mostly artifact free results. Preferable with full sensor readout for additional sensitivity & signal quality. For 30fps that wouldn't even be that much more workload then Nikons new compact handles, not to talk about using two processors. Throw in the standard visual aids for video.
All the video, landscape& studio crowds would love that.

I'm hoping for a 10-bit 1DC2, but more realistically it will be a RAW 4k unlocking upgrade of the old 1DC (which would also be awesome).

Wishing upon a star for a 7DC with compressed 4K, but you're right- this is probably all we can expect from them. If you're listening though, Canon, try to up your game and release something like a 7 or 5DC, too :)

This would be awesome- but if they do it, prepare for it to be priced at between $6-8K :)

Please !  More EF-M lenses ;-)

15-85 or longer in a compact less than 75mm deep package would be great for work use, don't even care about a fast speed and make it less than £250 - yeah, ok, I'm dreaming !

NAB is a B2B (Business to Business) show so I think it's unlikely that there'll be an announcement/launch of a consumer product. Cinema EOS surely fit in the B2B realm and I think the other camera could possibly be a broadcast camcorder (e.g. an updated XF100 type camera).

I'm hopeful for the 7d MkII, but who knows....
What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

They need to make a stills only model so the photographers can stop crying about video features in their precious stills camera and make a hybrid model for those who actually care about video as well as photos.

a 5d3 without video and WITH an interchangeable focusing screen? I'd give my left nut.
