canon 5dmarkii + 85mm ii L

Hi, i recently bought the 85mm ii L. it is a great lens. however when it is on 5dm2, i found that it  can lock on focus accurately at distance below 1m at f1.2. however, when the distance is more than 1.5m, i found that the focus is not that accurrate at f1.2.. my camera setting is :Single Shot AF, Single point focus point. i only use that lens on still potrait.. Anyone using this lens on 5dm2 can share their experience and technique to get more accurate focus ?

Do u use the center focus point on MKII?

no.. i use the focus point at the corner, so that i won't need to recompose at thin DOF of f1.2.... If i use centre focus point lock on the subject, then only recompose, will it get better result ?

Don't focus-recompose at f/1.2 - that will lead to backfocus.

Have you done an AF microdjustment?
