40D + 17-85 + a little selective desaturation:

See what I see: 6500K, 160 cd/m^2, ICC 2, gamma 2.2.

This is one of my favourite shots.... taken with an Olympus 2 megapixel p/s one fall in Algonquin Park, Canada. This is the out-of-camera jpg.... no processing.
The early Olympus digital cameras had a beutiful colour rendition

That's really a fantastic thread! the many great contributions I have seen so far prove that photography as an art has indeed little to do with the equiment one uses (see here and there. Although I don't agree 100% with all his arguments, I still think he definitely has a point)

Below are a few modest contributions from my part - all taken with a dinosaur: a Canon 350D

This was shot in Iceland, with the first Ixus that was released, in the previous century I think. I don´t remember its name. The price was about a dollar pr. pixel. This is what the picture looked like straight out of the camera.

Rebel XTi / 400D

Good thread folks! inspired by many of the shots I've seen. Proof that it's about the technique and the elements, not just about megapixels and wi-fi..

My old camera - nice enough images, just an old autofocus system.

In light of all the doom-and-gloom regarding the POS known as the 5DIII, let's try to lighten the mood, shall we :)? Since some people seem convinced that it's impossible to create art with only 11.7 stops of DR, and the 5DIII's pathetic hardware specs are limiting their creative execution, I propose posting your best images captured with less-than-stellar gear. It can really be anything, whether it's a point-and-shoot, xxD, Rebel, or just something that used to be a fine tool, but is too old to capture great images anymore (ie 1DII, 1DsII). As we all know, cameras that used to be cutting edge suddenly stop taking great images once a newer model comes out. Images from current crop bodies are very welcome, since everyone knows you can't take a decent image with a crop :o

Some of these have already been posted before, so I apologize in advance. These are far from the best shots in the world and some are far from great, but hey, they aren't out-of-focus snap shots of overweight felines taken with $3,000 bodies, either :) I know this might be better placed in the Images and Videos gallery, but since this forum has the highest concentration of whiners, I hope we can keep it here :) Let's see what those POS Canon sensors can do ;D

G7 in harsh middle-of-the-day light. Planning involved stepping out of car, pointing, and shooting.

G7 with window light diffused through a sheet

20D with an embarrassingly slow 70-200 f/4

20D with a junk 28-135 kit lens under cave-like stadium lights

20D somehow managing a lot of DR

20D, reflector, a couple Vivitar 285s, and cheap Hong Kong radio triggers

1DII with only 1 cross-type sensor. Ack!!!!

Nice!!!! Is The GTO shot a handeheld pan??

My trusty Canon 550d, Tokia 11-16mm.
This is 2 exposures taken one right after the other.

Foreground - 60sec, Iso1600, f2.8, 11mm

Yup.  Was surprised to see an old Pentax K100 delivered a gorgeous close up of a dragonfly used in a page+ spread in recent Canadian Geographic magazine, collectors' edition I think, on stands last week.

There were probably more great shots with old gear in there but the checkout line started moving and I didn't want to buy the magazine.
