A facebook friend got it today from Canon Mumbai.
I so wonder why Canon is treating USA, the mighty USA with such distain!

It looks like the guy is a dang good photog, so Canon might be preferring him to lesser photogs? Common photogs will be waiting for a while, it appears. First, Olympic shooters, then good/reputable photogs, then the rest of the gear heads.

Good question ... but you can safely bet the best work from a 1DX wont be seen until it gets in the hands of an American!

Good question ... but you can safely bet the best work from a 1DX wont be seen until it gets in the hands of an American!
pffff, come on. like if no one else can make good photo's! america is not sacred. why should another part of the world wait longer to get the camera?

What I do not understand is why the OP decided to expand from the 1D X has arrived in India, to questioning how Canon is treating the US. Almost as if he wants to cause trouble. Would have been much better to just have a thread about India. No need for the "America" comment.

The 1D X has arrived in India great, just as it has in numerous other countries.
1D X + backup + different L lenses etc.

Hey guys, we'll have it here in Ukraine at least 3-4 months later than you with $9000 price tag, so don't bother about your delays. No pre-order available in our country.
