Great work edward some amazing shots in the series
Thanks Bornshooter.Great! What did you do in post, if anything?
Hi Carl, something like this.
Cropped about 20% out so the Bulls backs were out of the Image (LR5)
In PSCC, adjusted brightness (I used a Circular Polariser so Images were dark), adjusted Levels.
Moved to NIK Viveza 2 to slightly increase brightness on the Face only.
Moved the Image to On One Suite 8 Layers, made an adjustment in On One effects to to strengthen contrast & background colour.
Sharpened in On One
Moved to Define 2 as the background had built up some Noise, denoised just the background slightly.
Adjusted size in On One "Resize" for web.
About 30 minutes on the Image.
Almost everything I do in NIK & On One can be done in Photoshop, to a lesser degree in LR5, but NIK & On One are just more intuitive than Photoshop, at least for me.
Wow that's more than I thought, great work! Did those get published?
I too have OnOne, but it's suite 7.5. I like it a lot, especially the effects suite, besides of course "resize". The portrait section seems to work well also. I used it on the image of "Spring at Red Clay", found in Jrista's "waterscapes" thread. It's printed on endura metallic paper, and I must say it looks as good or better than it does on screen. Not all the ones I've printed on it do, but that one does. The small version I posted doesn't do the full rez version justice. Shot with the much reviled Sigma DP2 with a Fuji wide conversion lens added onto it...and a polarizer filter fitted in between...with both step down and step up rings.
