Thanks guys

Home finally - lonnnnnnngggggggggg day at work.

Really enjoy the camera so far. I made some adjustments:
1. I'm down to 3 modes now M, Av and Tv
2. Down to 2 metering modes now - evaluative and spot
3. No more pressing * in spot metering mode - just select AF point and fire. LOVE IT
4. People hate the X shutter sound, NOT ME, I like it. REPEAT - I LIKE IT
5. Much more to discover

I will pair my X with 5D III tomorrow, my 3yrs(pre-schooler) celebrates end of school year. Will share some photos

The 1DX shutter can be compared to the sound of a high performance car engine. I love it! But sometimes it gets a bit loud. In your case (and mine) you have the silent mode on the 5DIII for that, so you're covered in any case.
You've had quite an upgrade year :) Enjoy!

Yes, indeed. First 400mm f2.8 IS II, follow x5 600er-rt & transmitter and now 1dx. I believe I'm done for 2014. For some reasons, Edward doesn't believe that ???

Add me to the list of non-believers - surely you'll need a bigger camera bag, the GPS module, or something before the year is out...

Also, I love the shutter, too, but it does scare the crap out of some wildlife :(  I wish it had a silent burst mode like the 5DIII, but alas, I have the 5DIII ;D.  I love the build quality and think it would be cool if they came out with a vertical gripless 1D camera as others have suggested.  Now that and the 1D X would be quite a pair.
CPS Score: 111 points, those 0 and 1 point items really add up

I'm dreaming: 16-35mm f4 IS + 200mm f2 IS + 100mm macro + 600mmish = by end of 2015. The prices on big white are going UP  ;)

The 200 f/2 is one lens I refuse to touch - I know it would be a highly contagious experience that would cost me several thousand dollars ;).  The only CPS loaner that I didn't end up buying was the 800 f/5.6, but that's not due to lack of interest...and I was VERY tempted during the refurb sales, but I kept my cool.

In the interest of some hope of getting this thread back on track, I'll post a recent 1D X + 300 f/2.8 IS II + CPL shot:
CPS Score: 111 points, those 0 and 1 point items really add up
