I love the way he calls the body a 1D-(SE)X. I tend to agree with him. Had a photoshoot today, everyone was grumbling and reaching for their tripods and flashes in very low light situations, whereas I was happily snapping away at 12800 ISO...

Such an incredible camera.

I love the digital rev videos. Kai is hilarious. Very cool camera test with the martialartist.

Yeah, I had a few soccer shots last night at ISO 16000 and 20000 and they were keepers after noise reduction in post.  Incredible.

I thought the review was very good but despite some of his positive comments I got the impression he was not that impressed, which I think is why he questions whether it is worth making the change at the end.

It was also a pretty negative review of the flagship's video capabilities, saying it is almost exactly the same as the 5D Mk III.
1D X + backup + different L lenses etc.

That's because he is correct..it is almost identical and i really do think the people that buy the 1dx isn't really looking at it's video capabilities anyways. Although I'm pretty sure he sounded mk3 impressed with it from the 1dmk4 as compared to his d3 to d4 video.

Funny how Kai commented that 18MP of 1DX might not be enough, but he didn't make any comments on the Nikon D4's even lower 16MP.

I guess it's because the d4 doesn't replace a high mp camera..there the d800 for that..the 1dx however does and there isn't any high mp camera yet....
