More drops, good-bye 40D
Retail price on the 40D body dropped $200 from $1349 to $1149. We were seeing street prices at $1299 or so in Canada.
17-85 kit dropped from $1709 to $1499.
P&S Drops
The S5 IS dropped from $399 to $369.
SD950 IS dropped from $449 to $369.
All these price drops are effective August 1, 2008.
We can probably expect the USA to follow suit if they haven't already.
Buy More, Save More Rebates
I have yet to see an extension of the rebate program in Canada. That appears to be over and they're dumping 40D's with price drops.
