A new Canon camera has appeared for certification and is likely some kind of new Rebel.
The only information about the camera from the certification agency is the camera will use the LP-E17 battery and is equipped with Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b / g / n) and Bluetooth4.2.

We have been told a couple of times now that a “pro” EOS R mirrorless camera that is in the works will have some kind of a hybrid EF/RF lens mount. So this basically means that you’d be able to mount both types of lenses without the use of an adapter.
We were also told that this was being developed for the “EOS-1 style EOS R camera”, which would make a lot of sense. As I don’t believe the reduction of size for an “EOS-1” style mirrorless camera is all that important.
This is definitely a bit of a strange rumour, but if Canon could pull this off, it would be great for Canon shooters.
We’ll have some more information on this soon.

Canon obviously needs some “affordable” prime and zoom lenses for the RF mount, and a few JPO patent applications seem to suggest we’re getting closer to that being a reality.

An RF 35mm f/1.2L has been rumoured for some time, but this is the first we’ve seen of this type of lens.

When Canon did their development announcement for the EOS-1D X Mark III last month, one of the rumoured features that wasn’t mentioned in the press release was the inclusion of in-body stabilization. Most have assumed if it wasn’t mentioned in the development press release, that the camera isn’t equipped with it.
A new source who claims to have shot with the EOS-1D X Mark III claims that Canon’s new flagship DSLR does indeed have in-body stabilization and that all future Canon ILC cameras will have the feature as well.
A lot was left out the development announcement about the camera, so I think there’s still a small chance that we see in-body stabilization in the EOS-1D X Mark III, but unfortunately, we cannot confirm this information to certainty.

We have been told that a minor firmware update will be released for the Canon EOS R later this month.
Apparently the firmware update will correct some wireless flash compatibility issues.
Do not expect any new features, this will definitely be a minor firmware release.
*Update* It looks like the update has moved to sometime in December 2019.

Canon has added security firmware updates for the following 11 cameras.
What is the security update for?
An international team of security researchers has drawn our attention to a vulnerability related to communications via the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP), which is used by Canon digital cameras, as well as a vulnerability related to firmware updates.
