Similar information has been sent to [NL], that a 46.1mp Canon DSLR will be previewed at PhotoPlus 2012 in New York City between October 24 – October 27, 2012.

We've had a couple of sources confirm that a 46mp prototype Canon DSLR is in the wild, though not claimed to be anywhere near production ready. Do not expect availability until well into 2013.
