The rumour mill is churning out that Adobe is preparing to bid on visual effects software developer The Foundry for £200m (around $302 million USD).

The Foundry is best known for their visual effects tool, Nuke, which has been used on most big blockbusters to produce visual effects that blur the line of what is real. Some of its most recent users include Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of Tomorrow, and Gravity.

The Foundry has a many other programs including a 3D painting tool, a 3D concept designer, a lighting and look designer, and more. All of these would prove to be valuable assets under Adobe.

If this deal goes through, Adobe could potentially become the most powerful company in the post-production game. What do you think?
