40D Replacement already?
I received an interesting email by someone claiming to be in the know. They spoke about Canon replacing the 40D this fall. That would go a long way in explaining the massive discounts on the camera.

I was told Canon would be introducing a new “Pro” type of xxD camera. Better AF system, full weathersealing and 14mp to compete with the D300 and still come in a bit cheaper. He/she also said that the camera *could* be a cheaper full frame, but Canon may not be fully behind killing the money making EF-S line of lenses.

I wouldn't at all be shocked to see Canon throw a curveball this fall. They need to have some marketing muscle to get back a lot of the hype from Nikon
