The purge of EF lenses is continuing, this time I have confirmed that both the Canon EF 100mm f/2 USM and Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM have been discontinued. I have added these lenses to the running list.

There have been a few questions about how all of this information is being confirmed. I have been receiving visual proof from various places.

Canon appears to be using the term “EOL” (End of Life) for a lens that is currently discontinued, or I receive “EOL in 2021”, which means the lens is on the chopping block and will be officially discontinued this year.

I'm not sure why this is all coming out in stages, but I'm sure a lot more EF lenses are going to be added to the list.
