I have been bugging a lot of people about when Canon announcements were coming in 2025, I knew there were two more dates, but I didn't know when. These dates are 99% accurate unless something goes sideways.

Announcement Dates

Canon will have two announcement dates in November. We will see new gear announced on November 16, 2025 and November 26, 2025.

There will be new camera announced on one of these dates. A couple of the sources think it's going to finally be the EOS R6 Mark III. This was something I questioned as to whether or not Canon would announce the camera in Q1 for CP+ in February.

What Camera is Coming

I can't be sure yet that it's the EOS R6 Mark III. We do think the sensor will be the same or closely related to the Cinema EOS C50. It could make some sense that both would begin shipping in December. The wait for the Cinema EOS C50 may have been to guage how many they should build before that time. It won't move anywhere near as many EOS R6 Mark III cameras.

With camera(s) coming in December, Canon will have already started making the cameras.

I was told with a lot of certainty from the source that the EOS R6 Mark III was the next full-frame coming from Canon.

New Lens or Lenses

I know of 4 lenses in the near-term pipeline. Again, I'm not sure which lens or lenses will be coming on one of those dates. That information will likely come soon as I annoy people.

The RF 300-600mm f/4-5.6 L IS is a very good candidate as we know for sure that the lens is already being used for final testing and even marketing content for the launch.

I'm curious to see if we'll see a VCM focus motor used for this lens. Nikon does use these types of motors for their supertelephoto lenses.

More to come soon!
