We're told to expect a replacement to the PowerShot SX50 HS in the spring for an early summer launch. Apparently this camera sells better in the spring and summer than it does in the winter.

We've seen a patent for a 100x zoom lens for a compact camera, perhaps we'll see such a lens in the new big zoom PowerShot camera.
