Canon has released new firmware for the Canon EOS R5 C. Canon is touting improved image quality for C-Log 3 when shooting AVC or MP4.

Firmware Version 1.0.3.1 incorporates the following enhancements:

  1. Improves the image quality of Canon Log 3 when shooting in XF-AVC or MP4 formats.

    1. Upgraded to 1.0.3.1 this evening. Will go out tomorrow if it doesn't rain. While I am not a Netfix content creator, the bump in DR when shooting cLog3 in XF-AVC and mp4 is welcome. I mentioned elsewhere that the certification was the "silver lining" of this update.
