Canon releases firmware v1.2.0 for the EOS R6 Mark II

Canon has released firmware v1.2.0 for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II. This firmware update adds compatibility updates along with bug fixes.

  1. RF5.2mm F/2.8 L DUAL FISHEYE is now supported.
  2. Enhanced security when sending captured images via FTPS transfer.
  3. Added support functions for software development support kit (EDSDK/CCAPI) for digital cameras.
  4. Fixed minor bugs.

  1. I wish they fixed the workflow with RAW burst mode. It’s such a killer function (especially the pre-shoot mode) but the current implementation is almost useless. There’s no way to turn in on by a single click or to program it to C1-C3. Why, Canon?

    Related, but not really Canons fault: 3rd party apps, like LR, DxO and C1, supporting the ‘roll’ the burst produces.
