Responsibilities:
- Produce Expert-Level Content: Craft in-depth articles, technical guides, product comparisons, tutorials & industry analysis pieces focused on photography, particularly Canon cameras, lenses & accessories.
- Demonstrate Canon Mastery: Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of Canon’s entire ecosystem—DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, lenses, firmware updates, accessories & professional workflows. Explain advanced features, settings & real-world applications.
- Stay at the Forefront of the Industry: Continuously monitor & analyze the latest photography trends, technological advancements & upcoming Canon & competitor product releases. Provide insightful commentary & forecasts.
- Conduct Thorough, Data-Driven Research: Use reputable sources, hands-on experience & industry expertise to ensure accuracy, credibility & depth in all content.
- Optimize content for SEO: Implement SEO best practices to maximize the visibility of your content in search engine results.
- Collaborate with the team: Work closely with marketing, product & design teams to develop content strategies & ensure brand consistency.
- Adapt to Multi-Format Content Creation: Develop content tailored for blogs, in-depth reviews, video scripts, social media, newsletters & print materials, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice: Adhere to our brand’s style guide & tone of voice in all your writing.
- Meet deadlines: Manage your time effectively to deliver high-quality content within agreed-upon timelines.
Qualifications:
- Seasoned Writing Expertise: A strong portfolio showcasing technical, well-researched & engaging content in the photography industry.
- Deep Technical Knowledge of Photography: Mastery of photography fundamentals, advanced shooting techniques & professional workflows, particularly within the Canon ecosystem.
- Content management skills: Experience using content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Research & Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret technical specs, analyze industry trends & translate complex information into accessible, high-quality content.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Passion for Photography & Innovation: A natural enthusiasm for the latest advancements in photography gear, techniques & trends.
Bonus Points:
- Hands-on experience with both photography & videography
- A strong portfolio of published photography-related content with a focus on expert-level insights.
- Familiarity with multiple camera brands & their ecosystems beyond Canon (e.g., Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm).
- Active presence in online photography communities.
