It looks like DJI will soon be announcing the MAVIC 4 PRO, which is sure to be a big deal in the drone community. The full specifications have been leaked by DroneXL ahead of a rumored announcement date coming in mid-May.

DJI MAVIC 4 PRO Information

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro is truly revolutionary, equipped with cutting-edge features that redefine our technology and elevate DJI drone imaging and flight performance to unprecedented levels. This flagship triple-camera drone is ready to transform the way you create and explore new horizons in aerial photography.

Dual Telephoto Cameras with Large 1/1.3″ and 1/1.5″ CMOS Sensors

The 70 mm medium telephoto camera features a large 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, while the 168 mm telephoto camera is equipped with a 1/1.5-inch CMOS sensor, offering a wider range of focal lengths for creative flexibility.

Both cameras have a large f/2.8 aperture, dual native ISO fusion, subject tracking focus, and the ability to record HDR videos at 4K/60 fps. They also include D-Log, ensuring consistent color performance with the main camera.

This means you get a seamless visual experience, regardless of which camera you use. The 168 mm telephoto camera also allows you to capture free panorama photos, combining ultra-wide perspectives with high-resolution details.

Infinity Gimbal with 360° Rotation for Dynamic Camera Movements

The new Infinity Gimbal addresses the limitations of previous designs, redefining aerial camera movements with exceptional flexibility. The three-axis arms have been completely redesigned to support 360° horizontal rotation, enabling dynamic multi-angle camera movements while allowing upward shots at 70°.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Detection in Night Landscapes with 0.1 Lux Brightness

The aerodynamic design of the Mavic 4 Pro, its efficient propulsion system, and its 95 Wh battery provide a flight time of 51 minutes, a maximum speed of 90 km/h, and a range of 41 km. The extended flight time supports confident operation during location scouting, maneuvering, or timelapse photography.

The Mavic 4 Pro is equipped with six high-performance, low-light fisheye sensors with 0.1 lux sensitivity and dual processors for high-resolution environmental awareness. It achieves omnidirectional obstacle avoidance at speeds up to 18 m/s in low light, using streetlight illumination to detect and avoid obstacles during flights and return journeys.

In near-dark conditions (below 0.1 lux), it can still use its forward-facing LiDAR to detect obstacles ahead and brake quickly to avoid collisions.

10-Bit HDR Video Transmission

DJI O4+ over 30 km. The Mavic 4 Pro is equipped with the DJI O4+ transmission system, which uses next-generation proprietary algorithms to maximize hardware performance. It enables ultra-long-range 10-bit HDR image transmission up to 30 km and reduces disconnections in urban environments.

Foldable Remote Controller with High-Brightness 7-Inch Rotating Screen

The DJI RC Pro 2 enhances the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, featuring a foldable design that turns the screen on or off when unfolded or folded. The joysticks remain attached, conveniently rising and retracting with the screen.

The 7-inch Mini-LED screen delivers stunning visuals and effortlessly switches the drone’s gimbal to portrait mode with a simple rotation.

Additionally, it has a built-in microphone and can connect directly to the DJI Mic series for high-quality audio recording.

Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS 100 MP Camera

The Hasselblad 4/3 CMOS main camera features a new 100 MP image sensor that supports dual native ISO, Hasselblad Natural Color Solution, and full-resolution 6K/60 fps HDR video recording. Additionally, it offers an impressive dynamic range of approximately 16 stops, a feature typically reserved for cinema cameras, enabling it to capture stunning details even in high-contrast scenes like sunrises and sunsets.

The new lens provides exceptional sharpness for 100 MP shots, features a variable aperture from f/2.0 to f/11, and creates a unique 10-point star effect around intense light sources.

  1. Will be a buyer as well. Have the Air 3 and looking forward to the telephoto lens, better sensor, controllable aperture, and better dynamic range.

  2. Yes.... going to upgrade then... unless the tariffs will make the price go up 2.5 times
US tariffs are down to 30% and 20% of that is dependent on what China does to stop the shipment of the ingredients for fentanyl.

That's nice but apparently DJI is not ready to ship to the US 😡

Hoping they will ship to US soon and the tariff nonsense resolves when they are available. Won't pay a premium for something that the rest of the world gets for no additional tax. Don't think DJI is shipping fentanyl into the US but with the new speed and load capacity of the Mavic 4 you never know!

Funny enough, Adorama and B&H are taking pre-orders....

Buy what you want, but the EU has been paying way more than the US when VATs are included for a long time.

  7. Just purchased the creator combo. I have a fun month long trip coming up and I think this will be great for it. 100MP photos might make for some good shots especially with the panorama modes but we'll see.

Would love to hear you report after your trip. I have seen some decent reviews and the still image quality has definitely improved a bit across all three focal lengths though not dramatically. Some of the other features are attractive as well like 40+ real world minutes of flight time and 55 mph speed to get to distant subjects.
