We're still waiting on the official announcement for the upcoming Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. We reported earlier this month that would should see the announcement sometime in April, and April is nearing a close. We've always found that lens announcements are a moving target and nailing them down is quite difficult.
We haven't heard any more information about the EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS replacement we reported about back in February.
