Welcome to our featured Friday deals for January 24th, 2025. This month has just flown by, and not to mention this week – I blinked, and it's Friday again already. Maybe I'm just getting old. We are in the winter weather season (even in Thailand!), so this week I'm going to focus on travel accessories for you to dream about for your next sunny getaway.
DJI Flip Drone (RC 2 with Fly More Combo)

I love this little drone and think this combination is perfect for travelling. Of course, make sure you research the country you are going to in terms of drone laws and also, even more importantly, where you can fly them legally. No one needs their vacation ruined because you flew your drone over a presidential palace.
This drone combination weighs in at around 3 lbs or 1.33kg. Also necessary is the batteries (which must go into your carry-on) are only 83.5g or 2.94oz, meaning they will go into any carry-on, even restrictive weight carry-on that limits you to 6kg (13lb).
DJI makes a lot of mini drones that would fit this bill, but I appreciate the tiny size this drone folds into. This makes it easy to tote around with you in your camera bag or small case as you explore and have new travel adventures.

Key features of this DJI Flip drone include;
- Built-In Full-Coverage Propeller Guards
- Portable Design with Folding Propellers
- Up to 4K60 Horizontal Video
- Up to 2.7K Vertical Video
- 48MP Still Images
- AI Subject Tracking & Auto Flight Modes
- Up to 31 Minutes of Flight Time
- O4 Transmission with up to 8-Mile Range
- 10-Bit D-Log M Color Mode
- RC 2 Remote & Fly More Combo Included

Memory Cards
I have always griped about memory cards, but when you are travelling, the last thing you want to happen is that your cards fail. Especially if they are unique in capacity and speed or even type. It's well in the past when we could just go to the corner store and limp through with a cheap 32GB SDXC card in a pinch. I'll focus on the two card types used in Canon cameras so no one gets left behind.
Delkin 512GB CFexpress Type B 4.0 Memory Card

This is an excellent card for those who are shooting a lot of videos. It's even big enough to carry an emergency backup of your laptop (as long as it's not like mine and you travel around with 12TB).
Key features;
- 512GB Storage Capacity
- PCIe Interface
- Max Read Speed: 3650 MB/s
- Max Write Speed: 3240 MB/s

For us peasants (me included) whose cameras use SDXC (commonly known as SD cards), there are also deals to be had on some higher-capacity cards.
This is a bundle deal for 2 256GB cards, which should be enough for any travel photography and some video as well.

Not everything needs to be expensive. This inexpensive accessory allows you to prop up your camera for long-exposure photography or video recording with as little fuss as possible. This is a great little lightweight and compact accessory that you can just toss into your luggage.
It's a more professional bean bag I used to carry around with me.
