Canon EOS R5 Mark II deliveries have already started

Went to my local dealer yesterday.
Had a choice of a R5 II body or an R5 II 24-105 F4 kit.
Bought the body + RF 24-105 F2.8 and walked out a very happy man.
Only complaint is Canon didn't ship the new batteries or grips out yet :(

Just contacted Wex Photo Video in the UK and unfortunately they haven't heard anything from Canon about when they can expect their first shipment or whether my order will be in that first shipment despite me ordering within 10 minutes of them being available to order online....

It was the same when I spoke to them last weekend - I had contacted them as I hadn’t received a confirmation email - although they did say I had a few hundred in front of me on the list and would likely have to wait a few weeks based on previous preorder releases - I ordered on the 30th.

I will try and find out more info at their Glasgow store open day on Friday where there should be a Canon rep present.

If you do hear anything on Friday and could let us know that would be great. I ordered mine about 11:20 on the 17th and was third in line at the Birmingham store. I waited 4 days after release when I ordered my R7 and had to wait 4 months before it arrived - I am still scarred by the wait!!

I just got a call from Canon here in Mumbai saying I can get the camera any day now. \"SOON\". And that they will give me an \"Angel Bird 1TB AV PRO CFexpress B\" card free with it if I book it today.

For what it’s worth: I got confirmation today that a large camerastore in the Netherlands will receive a shipment of R5 Mk II bodies next Tuesday, August 20.

That’s good news! I was afraid that it would ship earlier and I would miss the email due to working at a music festival over the weekend.
Assuming that pre-ordering at 12:01 was early enough…

I'm in the UK and also got my confirmation email (not Wex) today saying my order will be shipping on the 20th! I pre-ordered a few minutes after they were available online and was very high on the list.
