Best way to dry rain soaked equipment

I got caught out this week on a very wet day on an uninhabited rock in the atlantic. It was so wet I only took about 6 photos. I always put lenses and bodies into zip lock bags when going to islands with no piers as its easy to slip on seaweed covered rocks wading onto islands. I do have a water proof cape/lens cover but just not with me on Monday.
My gear didn’t get vey wet and I dried it with paper towels when I got back to the car.
But what is the best way to dry rain soaked gear ?

Wipe it dry and let it sit in a room with low humidity, or put it in a sealed case/bag with desiccant cartridges.

And extend all zooms, open all flaps and ports.

And remove the battery.
