It's not good for close-up work. I take my 100-500mm when it's more likely I'll be doing insects, and it's still great for birds. The el cheapo RF 100-400mm is really good for insects.Sorry that should be Canon 200-800

Another lovely series.Tried something different. I have used my Laowa 85 mm and big 200-600. Macro is a lot of work since no AF and 200-600 hard to get good image size.
