There was report of a Hummingbird Hawk-moth locally this morning. The rain set in but I got out in a brief break and was extremely lucky to see for about a minute. These are like hummingbirds and do not land. The light was so dire I used a compromise of 1/1000s iso8000 where normally I would have liked 1/4000s. Nevertheless, I got views of all its main features.

Honestly I didn't know they are rare around you... In Bulgaria they are pretty common. From the day flying Sphingidae there the rarest one is Hemaris croatica.

Just bought a Laowa 55mm tilt-shift macro lens.
Here are some shots with the fully tilted lens of cause hand held and fully manual focused.
The focus peaking helped a lot to adjust the focus plane.
