I am shooting American football with a 60D and 70-200 2.8L (not weather sealed). Any relatively inexpensive ideas for weatherproofing these against rain for sports? Right now i just use a trash bag but it can be difficult to maneuver and see through the viewfinder.

Not exactly inexpensive but you get what you pay for...
I recently tried an 'inexpensive' solution (a $10, see-through plastic slip-on 'condom' type) which was too frustrating. While easily foldable into your pocket / poncho, these types don't repel the water very well and your hands get more wet trying to get your hands into them.

Maybe not the most effective, but certainly fun

That's the one I tried, not bad for single use in a crunch, but my hands got wet getting them in/out, and once wet, it took forever to dry, and was hard to fold back up (like a map :)). Would keep one around as a backup / emergency option, but if i knew I HAD to shoot in the rain, I'd keep looking if the TT is too $$$
