1Dx -quick dial doesn't respond while viewing photos

Does anyone have problem viewing photos zooming in....while it's in zoom position, turning the quick dial to the next picture with no response? I tried to zoom out and turn the quick dial to advance to the next photos with no response as well. I had press play and zoom in and out for the quick dial to respond again.

Don't have my 1D X next to me, but I winder if that's occurring only when you're zooming in on the image during the post-shot review that comes up automatically?

If you zoom in on the preview you can't select the next/previouse shot.

You have to close the preview. Then go into review in the normal way.

But I find it quite confusing that you have to select a seperate button to zoom in and out.

you're right neuro. i zoomed in after taking the photos and am unable to forward and reverse for image comparison.

Same on 5D 3. Seems you can only change pictures in zoom after you press play.
