Which Canon DSLR works best for manually-focused EF lenses through the optical viewfinder?
I have some high-quality manually-focus Canon Cine EF lenses. They have digital contacts on the back (so they relay information to the camera), but they have no motors for focus or aperture. Is the 1DX Mark II the last Canon DSLR camera made with interchangeable focusing screens?
From what I can tell, the 5d3, 5d4, and the 1DX Mark III all have fixed focusing screens (from looking at the manual) So if you want an officially-supported split-prism focusing screen for manual focusing through the OVF, the 1DX Mark II is the only available choice from Canon?
