oem batteries

There have been comments elsewhere that some folks are not using OEM batteries. I was under the impression that NON-OEM batteries wouldn't work w/ the R5M2. Is that now incorrect? As to the issue of firmware #1.0.3, my camera would do weird things like, failing to focus, or locking up and not...
