Hey guys,

This might seem like a dumb or silly thing, but I'm wondering if it is normal to have a bit of flex on the CF door when gripping the camera?

I've been doing a lot of walk-and-shooting lately on my travels and I started noticing that I could feel the CF card door move slightly under the pressure of my grip. It could be completely normal and I've never noticed it do it before, it's just that I've literally been hand holding my camera for five to six hours a day for the past week and have just started getting sensitive to it.

There is no appreciable flex on mine. Perhaps the moisture seal on yours has shifted/come detached - this "MIGHT" cause this sort of problem - just a guess.

Interesting. It's a fairly new camera as Canon replaced my previous 1DX. I rather not send it to canon and may just live with it since last time they did anything they caused more damage than they fixed.

I don't think the sealing will be too affected. I looked at the seals and everything appears to look in place.

I might go to the store tomorrow and see if I can replicate the feeling on the demo body.

I only notice it if I'm one-hand gripping the camera. I'm basically putting pressure on the door and it is just squishing the seal down.

Ended up going to the store an hour ago. Played with the demo. Its door moved and flexed a bit too. Not quite as pronounced as mine, but it definitely wiggled.

Don't think I'm am going to worry too much about it.

Cheers guys.

I think my old Rebel xti did this. As well as my old 6D, and my now current 5d3 does it as well. Same situation, its just that most of my pressure falls there. Though it hasn't effected performance what so ever as far as I can tell, and hasnt gotten worse either.
