300mm B&W Portrait

I recently invested in a Canon 70-300L to pair with my 6D. This was taken at the thick end of the zoom range at Edinburgh Castle. I have Parkinson's tremor, and I sway a fair bit; and even with IS a certain amount of micro tremor occurs. So....I am pleased at how this turned out.

PP'd in LR5 to my own recipe.

And here is a self portrait using the 6D paired to my 17-40L

I really like your self-portrait.

I like the B&W processing of both shots. To my taste, the face (especially the beard) on the first one is over-sharpened. Across the rest of the image that level of sharpening looks good though.

Solid work, man.

Thanks for stopping by to comment, appreciate it. I have replaced the 1st pic with one with less clarity and sharpening in LR5. Better?

Thanks

Pete
